Our Story

Artemis Talent Solutions didn’t start with a business plan.

It started with a conversation. After years in recruitment, across both commercial and technical roles, we’d seen the industry at its best… and at its most frustrating. Too often, it felt rushed. Transactional. Focused on quick wins instead of long-term success. Candidates left in the dark. Clients left doing half the work themselves.

When we started working together, something clicked. Same standards. Same work ethic. Same slightly questionable sense of humour. More importantly, the same belief that recruitment could, and should, be done better.

We weren’t interested in building just another agency. We wanted to build something we were proud to put our names to. A business where relationships matter, where honesty isn’t optional, and where doing the right thing isn’t seen as going above and beyond, it’s just the baseline.

So, we took the leap.

Because recruitment, when it’s done right, changes things.

It’s not just about filling a role. It’s about helping a business grow, evolve, and succeed. It’s about giving someone the opportunity to take the next step in their career, sometimes one they didn’t even know was possible.

We’ve seen firsthand what happens when it’s done badly, misplaced hires, wasted time, broken trust. And we’ve also seen the opposite: the impact of getting it exactly right. The teams that click. The careers that take off. The long-term partnerships that are built on consistency and trust.

That’s what drives us.

We care about the details most people overlook. The culture fit. The long-term potential. The things that don’t show up on a CV but make all the difference once someone’s in the role.

We do what we do because we genuinely enjoy it, but also because we know the impact it has. On businesses, on people, and on the industry as a whole.

And we think that’s worth doing properly.

I fell into recruitment in 1995… and instantly caught the bug. Something about the chaos, the pace, the human Tetris of matching the right person to the right role, it just clicked. I climbed the ladder fast, running busy commercial branches and leading high-performing teams. But my true love? Sales and commercial recruitment. Give me a complex, high-stakes role and I’ll hunt down the unicorn candidate, even if they’re hiding in a yurt in the Alps.

For years, I criss-crossed the UK and Europe, building top-tier teams for business-critical roles. Whether it was assembling an elite sales squad from scratch or filling that one impossibly niche position, I thrived on the challenge. (Still do.)

Then, plot twist!  I swapped the boardroom for the classroom. Motherhood called, and I retrained as a Primary School Teacher, spending seven unforgettable years wrangling glitter, glue sticks, and small humans. Rewarding? Absolutely. Quieter? Not even slightly.

But recruitment? It was always the one. So, in 2021, I made my triumphant return as a Senior Consultant in STEM recruitment, older, wiser, and still addicted to the buzz.

Enter Dianne: technical recruiter, all-round powerhouse, and owner of the most contagious laugh this side of the M56.  Together, we built a packaging recruitment division from the ground up, and one day, mid-laugh, mid-caffeine high, we thought: Why are we building someone else’s dream when we could build our own?

And just like that, Artemis was born. Our own brand, brewed with commercial smarts, technical chops, and a shared love of good coffee and truly terrible puns. We cover the full Packaging and FMCG spectrum, from sales to technical roles, because we’ve lived it, built it, and now we recruit for it.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong Everton fan (yes, by choice). I hold a season ticket with my son Tom, and can often be found cheering, crying, or yelling “next season’s our year!”, sometimes all at once.

Oh, and I recently completed my Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management. Because I believe knowledge is power and also, I really like a challenge.

Speaking of which, I’ve taken up golf. It’s mostly an excuse to follow my husband Ian to sunny destinations and attempt to reach the 19th hole with my dignity (and clubs) intact. Results vary.

I’ve been in recruitment for 25 years, which means I’ve seen trends come, go, and occasionally come back wearing a slightly different jacket. My journey started as an Office Manager at a specialist Print & Packaging Search Consultancy, where I unexpectedly fell head over heels, not just for recruitment, but for the weird and wonderful world of Packaging.

Luckily, I landed in a tight-knit team packed with industry know-how. It was the perfect training ground, I learned fast, got stuck into technical briefs, and built a rock-solid foundation in everything from manufacturing and production to design and engineering.

I worked my way up from Trainee Consultant, focusing on technical roles from shop floor heroes to senior leadership. After 17 incredible years (yes, I am loyal), I was ready for a new challenge, but there was no way I was saying goodbye to Packaging. It’s in my blood now. So, I joined a STEM Recruitment firm and spent four more years sharpening my skills, building networks, and hunting unicorns for clients who expected nothing less.

Then, enter Kate White, a brilliant, driven Sales Recruiter with a scary-similar sense of humour, work ethic, and appetite for building something great. Together, we realised we didn’t want to just work in this industry, we wanted to shape it. And so, Artemis was born: a brand built on mutual respect, ridiculous amounts of experience, and an unhealthy reliance on coffee.

Today, we cover technical and commercial recruitment across Packaging and FMCG and we do it with genuine insight, a bit of fun, and the kind of dedication you can’t fake. Clients trust us, candidates remember us, and we like to think we’ve raised the bar just a little.

Outside the recruitment bubble? I’m a self-confessed foodie, with a particular obsession for Thai cuisine (helped along by regular visits to my son, who lives in Sri Racha, just outside Bangkok, yes, like the sauce!). I also have a soft spot for cats and knitting, but I try to keep that on the downlow in case it ages me faster than my LinkedIn profile already does.

Oh, and I’ve got a Level 4 ILM in Coaching, which means I’m not just good at helping people find the right job, I’m good at helping them find the right direction. Add that to 25 years of experience, and you’ve got a recruiter who knows her stuff, loves what she does, and still laughs at her own jokes.
